Here we have an almost perfect saddle for a restoration bike from our friends at luxlow bikes:

looking at the underside this is probably a 1960s or so European saddle -still a very nice seat though

I agree with 17 Triumph that this is a mid century or newer saddle and likely from Europe. The bottom binding does not appear to be leather but rather something like what we used to refer to as oil cloth. The Hunt Logo is definitely not the Hunt logo I'm familiar with. Chuck Leipham at The Saddle Shop has made and uses a die that is a replica of the original and looks nothing like the one on this saddle.

It has been listed on eBay for months at $800.00 with no bidders. Perhaps an opening bid of $100. might attract some interest.

After reading the comments and looking more closely at the item listed, I must say I'm sorry I brought attention to this eBay seat listing.
In the 60s & 70s I managed a large bike store, where we sold over a thousand bikes a year. During that time I saw 'almost everything' bike related both new and old, but I never saw a seat like this, constructed to look just like the TOC saddles.
I am now convinced it is not old, and not worth any more than Dick's suggested starting bid of $100:
This seat/saddle is not suitable for a restoration of a bike intended to be 'original', but it is merely for building a 'replica' of a period bike.

With the thought of later fitting this saddle to a mid 1920's boys' bike I have hanging in the rafters that will be a restoration project down the road a bit, I made what I felt was a generous offer of $200. on the eBay site; it was immediately declined. Perhaps some bidder will step up to the plate and be perfectly happy with his purchase.........it just won't be me/

Velootje! Thank you for the lead. I have tried, through The Cabe's website, to contact the seller (Velo-Dreams) and to commit to purchasing the saddle but have not heard anything back from him just yet. I have never purchased anything through The Cabe so I'm not sure if I am on the right track to making contact with the seller.

Velootje,
Thanks for the email address. I have written to the seller and indicated I will purchase the saddle and asked for him to send me a Paypal invoice. You have
been most helpful. Thank you.
